Network identification
The server receives your public IP to identify your network space. The app stores a SHA-256 hash of that IP and a last-access time, rather than the raw IP, in its room database. Hashing does not make an IP anonymous. The hosting provider may also process request information for delivery, security, and operational logs.
No account or email is required to use sharing. Other people using the same public IP can access the same space, including on some shared-provider connections.
Shared text and files
Text, file names, file sizes, and transfer times are stored in a database. Uploaded file bytes are held in object storage, or in the operator files directory on a self-hosted installation. Public production requests travel over HTTPS; the service does not provide end-to-end encryption. The operator and hosting services process this content to provide transfers.
The space expires after 30 minutes without access. Visible sharing pages refresh and count as activity. Expired content becomes unavailable; cleanup removes the stored bytes and metadata on later requests. You can delete an item from the space before expiry. Deleting an item does not remove copies already downloaded by other devices. Room identifiers and timestamps can remain as operational metadata.
Browser storage
The sharing feature does not place your shared files or text in browser storage as a saved account history. Your browser keeps drafts in the page while it is open and may retain downloaded files in its own downloads folder. The app does not currently include an analytics tracker.
Advertising
Google AdSense is configured for public guide content. Ads are shown only when enabled for the site and region. Google and its partners may use cookies or other identifiers for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention.
Advertising code is limited to the public guide. It is not loaded on the text-and-file sharing screen. Where advertising consent is required, ads remain disabled until the operator has configured the required consent platform. Google describes its advertising data use at Google advertising technologies. Visitors can manage Google ad preferences at My Ad Center.
